UNO Faculty and Staff are invited to submit nominations for the Staff Advisory Council Recognition Award. The award is presented annually to a University of Nebraska at Omaha faculty or staff member who has demonstrated exemplary support to UNO staff members. Please send UNO Staff Advisory Council Recognition Award Nomination Forms and any other additional information via intercampus mail to: SAC P.O. Box 130 by April 10, 2015.

UNO SPIRIT OF SERVICE AWARD
UNO Spirit of Service Award recognizes outstanding Office/Service individuals who provide services that strengthen the community and improves the lives of others. Please send the completed UNO Spirit of Service Award Official Nomination Form by mail. The nomination packet must be received by March 30,2015 to be considered for the UNO Spirit of Service Award. Mail to UNO Spirit of Service, Staff Advisory Council, UNO Box 130, 6001 Dodge St., Omaha, NE 68182, if the packet is received after March 30, 2015 it will not be considered for the award.
The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) was established in March 1973 to promote and facilitate communication between Managerial/Professional and Office/Service employees of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the Chancellor. SAC acts only in an advisory capacity to the Chancellor and other University administrators.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. All UNO employees are welcome to attend.
The Staff Advisory Council Elections are held each year in April. Announcements for SAC nominations will be made in March on this site and through enotes. At that time, the Staff Advisory Council will be looking for volunteers to serve in vacant areas where the three year term limit has expired. The elected position is for a three year commitment, with the expectation of attending monthly meetings and serving on various subcommittees. SAC is a working council that meets at least once a month, usually the second Tuesday of the month at 9:00 a.m.
Chancellor Christensen encourages the support of supervisors in allowing their employees the time of to participate in this important mission.
